Karen Kilimnik's World Inhabits the Ballet De L'Opera
Due to the gracious invitation from 303 Gallery in NYC, I was invited to the cocktail for the artist Karen Kilimnik then a night at the Ballet De L'Opera, PHEDRE choregraphed by Serge Lifar and PSYCHE choregraphed by Alexei Ratmansky. Karen Kilimnik's artwork was used in the set design for the PSYCHE ballet.
I found Kilimnik's art romantic yet haunting. It is rare when I feel drawn to an artist's sensitivity. I am curious to learn more about her short films and installations. But it is her dark awkward paintings that pull me into her world.

Fashion Night out
I know I am a little late with this. Here are a few photos of Avenue Montaigne for Fashion Night out. I was a bit disappointed with all the lines to get into the shops ( who needs that)
What if my life is one big Fashion Night Out with no lines!

"YAZFRICA" Yazbukey's Fall 2011 Collection
Haute Couture Fashion week in Paris finally came to an end with the explosion of Yazbukey's YAZFRICA Collection. The collection was presented in a Sushi shop tucked away deep in the Marais section of Paris. Scores of fatigued fashionista sipped on Japanese beers and champagne. We will have to wait till next season to see what continent Yazbukey decides to celebrate...Ya man.

Wine and chateaux "who knew?

Our friend who resides in the Loire Valley asked how we would like to spend our day as tourists in the LV? Instantly, I thought of two of my favorite things: Loire Valley wine and lady like châteaux where I could imagine Catherine de Medici and Diane de Poiter having some sort of yelling match in the corridors over Francois the 1st. We walked around the very feminine Chateau du Chaumont de Loire then we tasted the very mineral white wine Vouvray. I like mine dry but even the sweet stuff was delicious. Off to the south of France now. Au revoir..
